Ending October with Antonio

I haven't been posting much lately because I have been fighting with Blogger. But as it turns out, I think the problem was the ultra-annoying Internet Explorer 9. I have switched to Firefox and it seems that the problems are resolved. Fingers crossed.

After Bahrain, October sped on its way to the second Eid.

But before Eid, first there was a cocktail making class at the Ritz...



And of course, there was the 2011 Doha Tribeca Film Festival! Big C worked at the festival again this year, this time as a Materials Coordinator and he was busy! As it crept closer and closer his days got progressively longer. But he and the whole team at DTFF worked hard and put on a great show!

Highlights for me included seeing:

"Comic-Con Epsiode IV: A Fan's Hope"

"Bollywood - The Greatest Love Story Ever Told"

"The Help"

But the biggest highlight of all was being in the second row for "In Conversation with Antonio Banderas". He was fantastic - told entertaining stories about his career path and gave us a look at his philosophies and ideas on the power of both film and theatre. At 51 years, he is polite yet suave and oh so handsome!




Last year I saw Kevin Spacey, this year Antonio Banderas - only in Doha I guess!

For Big C, in addition to looking after the media library, he was also asked to introduce some of the films to the audience including the introduction of some of the Directors and he facilitated a Q&A between the audience and Morgan Spurlock, Director of the movie about Comic-Con.

All in all, a very action packed October!
