Exploring Bangkok

Our time in Bangkok ended up being a bit short - the Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha along with the Reclining Buddha took most of the day. Which meant that we only had one more day left and that was for shopping!

I put a few pictures up here to give a quick overview of Bangkok but there were so many great pictures that I put them in a Picasa Album as well for those who want to see more of Bangkok

Part 1: Scenes from the River Bus on the way there...

Part 2: The Grand Palace & Temple of the Emerald Buddha

Please place yourselves in the line for "foreigners"...

No shorts (but they kindly lend you pants...)

I was actually wearing long capris but my ankles must be covered too! They were more restrictive than Qatar! That's my loaned skirt. Nice.

Casey being artistic...

So many gorgeous buildings

Side view of the building - completely covered in hand painted tiles and mosaics pieces

Still in the Grand Palace area

Many Buddhas
