Back to the adventures with M&D - we went to a new beach spot with them and a couple of our friends. It was past Al Wakra beach where we went before to what is referred to as a "mangrove" swamp. The name is actually referring to a type of plant that grows within these swamps. The roots grow out and up in these stiff reeds that come up from the mud (this system helps the plant deal with salt and lack of oxygen based on the fact they are growing in sandy mud).
